A policewoman died in a road accident in Kohalpur of the Banke district in Lumbini on Sunday night.

NEPALGUNJ, April 17: Five people died in a road accident at Kohalpur Municipality-13 in Banke district on Friday evening.
The accident took place when a passenger bus (Se 1 Kha 3348) bound to Dharan from Surkhet and a tipper truck coming from the opposite direction collided head on .
The deceased have been identified as tipper’s driver Khagendra Bahadur Sunar (25) and helper Uday Batha from Kohalpur-12. Similarly, Jivan Kumar BK, 41, of Surkhet and Chatra Bahadur Katuwal of Jhapa were also killed in the accident. Another deceased woman, however, is yet to be identified, according to police.
Seven other people sustained severe injuries in the accident. They are undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Medical College.
