Kathmandu. Sri Lanka has announced plans to introduce a six-month program offering free tourist visas to passport holders from 39 countries. Government officials stated that the regulations related to this initiative will be presented to Parliament following Cabinet approval.This effort, aimed at supporting the revival and growth of the tourism sector, was approved during the Cabinet meeting held on July 21, 2025.
