To economically empower farmers in the areas affected by the Tanahu Hydropower Project, agricultural materials have been distributed alongside vocational training.The hydropower project provided off-season vegetable farming and financial literacy training to 20 members of the Magar community, specifically targeting the Masto Lafa Bheja (Women's Group) in Rishing-8, Paltyang.According to Project Chief Shyamji Bhandari, the participating farmers were provided with hand tractors, seeds, watering cans, and equipment necessary for 'tunnel' farming.Residents of the project-affected areas have previously received training in plumbing, electrical work, tailoring, goat farming, vegetable cultivation, and financial literacy.
