Supreme Court Overturns Decision to Drop Tax Evasion Case Against Worldlink
Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has overturned the Attorney General's Office's decision not to prosecute Internet Service Provider Worldlink Communications Ltd and other companies regarding tax evasion and Telecommunication Service Charge (TSC).A joint bench of Justices Vinod Sharma and Shrikant Poudel issued an interim order in the writ filed by Bheshraj Luintel against the decision not to proceed with the revenue leakage case filed against Worldlink Communications Ltd.The District Government Attorney's Office, Lalitpur, had decided not to prosecute the case initiated based on the complaint of the Revenue Investigation Department, and the High Government Attorney's Office, Patan, had upheld that decision....
