Government Clears Encroachments, Displaced Residents' Belongings Left to Rot
Kathmandu. The government bulldozed slum settlements along the riverbanks of the Kathmandu Valley in Baishakh last year. The slum dwellers and their belongings were taken to Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor. After that, the government took the slum dwellers to holding centers as a short-term management measure.
