Kathmandu, Oct 15: District Court, Kathmandu has issued an order to remand to custody the former Speaker and Maoist Centre leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara on a gold smuggling case. District judge Harka Bahadur Chhetri concluded that the available evidences substantiate the charge that Mahara was involved in the gold smuggling. So, he warranted custody, according to Information Officer at District Court, Dipak Shrestha. Mahara will be remanded to Sundhara-based jail.
