Nepal Bar Association Protests Against Supreme Court Administration
Kathmandu. The Nepal Bar Association has announced protests starting today, citing the Supreme Court administration's obstruction of the judicial process by not registering writ petitions of constitutional significance. The Bar will hold a protest against the court administration's working style at the Bar premises today at 1:15 PM, holding lanterns. It has also been mentioned that further programs will be announced in the coming days based on suggestions received from advisors and units. Prisoner Escaped from Kaski Jail Arrested in Baglung for Mobile Theft
Baglung. A prisoner who escaped from Kaski jail has been re-arrested in Baglung on charges of mobile theft. The arrested person is Suresh Bohora, 34, of Baglung Municipality Ward No. 7, Baglung District, also known as Mithu Kisan. He had escaped from Kaski jail during the Jenji movement. Bohora was sentenced by the Baglung District Court on Jestha 2, 2080 BS, to three years and one month imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000 for burglary.
