RPP's Saraswati Lama Files Candidacy for Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives
Kathmandu. Saraswati Lama from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has registered her candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. Lama filed her nomination with RPP parliamentary party leader Gyan Bahadur Shahi as the proposer, and fellow RPP lawmakers Khushbu Oli, Tahir Ali, and Bharat Giri as seconders. The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has pledged its support to Lama. Man arrested in Dhading for alleged rape of 50-year-old woman
Dhading. A young man has been arrested in Dhading on charges of raping a 50-year-old woman. 28-year-old Rabi Pokharel, a resident of Galchhi Rural Municipality-3, Chhatintar, was taken into custody by police on Wednesday afternoon.Following reports and a formal complaint regarding the alleged rape, a police team from the Area Police Office, Gajuri, was deployed. Acting on the victim's complaint, police immediately initiated action and arrested the suspect from Chhatintar.Legal proceedings have been initiated against Pokharel under rape charges.
