Three Arrested in Connection with NPR 125.6 Million Embezzlement at Pokhara's Dhanush Cooperative

Pokhara. Three individuals have been arrested on charges of fraud related to the Dhanush Cooperative in Pokhara. A financial audit revealed that NPR 125.6 million was misappropriated from the cooperative, which has its office in New Bazaar, Pokhara-9.Kaski Police arrested the cooperative's secretary Biraj Subedi, manager Jagat Paudel, and loan subcommittee member Krishnabahadur Jaisi. According to the financial analyst's report, Secretary Subedi embezzled NPR 22.5 million, and Manager Paudel embezzled NPR 12.5 million.  Similarly, Jaisi is accused of misappropriating NPR 8.2 million by creating artificial accounts while serving on the loan subcommittee.
