2,365 Drivers Penalized for Traffic Violations in 24 Hours, Rs 2.1 Million Revenue Collected

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 365 drivers have been penalized for violating traffic rules. From this, Rs 2,177,504 has been deposited into the state treasury.According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, action has been taken against 88 for driving under the influence of alcohol, 258 for illegal 'ride sharing', 156 for violating signal lights, and 174 for speeding.Similarly, 123 were penalized for not following 'lane' discipline, 128 for honking in prohibited areas, 124 for parking vehicles on the sidewalk, 163 for driving on one-way streets, and one thousand 121 for not following other traffic rules....
