Heavy Rainfall Hits Parts of Nepal as Terai Faces Rising Temperatures

Kathmandu. Due to the partial influence of western and local winds, various districts across the country experienced rainfall on Saturday. Khotang and Udayapur recorded heavy rainfall within a 12-hour period.According to records from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology at 9:30 PM, the Bhainse Lamidanda station in Khotang recorded 75.2 millimeters of rain, while Gadi in Udayapur recorded 49.6 millimeters over the last 12 hours. Rainfall was also reported in 35 other districts.The department stated that Dhankuta received 30.8 mm, Kaski 23.6 mm, Parbat 19 mm, Lalitpur 20.6 mm, and Kavre 16.2 mm of rainfall.
