Kathmandu Metropolitan City has nearly completed the construction of a cycle lane and sidewalk expansion from Maitidevi Mandala to Tinkune. This new lane, built alongside a wider sidewalk, replaces the previous system where the cycle lane was marked only by a green line on the road, which had drawn criticism for being risky and impractical.However, cyclists have pointed out complexities in using the lane.
