Inflation Reaches 5.96% in First Month of FY 2083/84, Highest in 21 Months

Kathmandu. In the first month (Shrawan) of the current fiscal year 2083/84, point-wise annual consumer inflation has reached 5.96 percent. This rate of inflation is the highest in the last 21 months. In Mangsir 2081, inflation was 6.05 percent. Since then, it had decreased to as low as 1.11 percent. In the same month last year, such inflation was only 1.68 percent.
