Kathmandu. Bulldozers have begun operations in the squatter settlement located in Thapathali. The demolition is being carried out to clear unauthorized squatter settlements situated on public and government land along the banks of the Bagmati River. Initially, two bulldozers have been deployed. Police are assisting in evacuating residents from the settlement. Security in the area has been tightened. A large number of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Municipal Police are currently deployed.
