Kathmandu. Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stated that Nepal is in an extremely sensitive region both geographically and politically. Speaking at the 'Himal, Climate and Disaster Dialogue' organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, she emphasized the need to build a self-reliant economy to reduce the growing trade deficit.Mentioning that Nepal is situated between two large neighboring countries with huge populations to the north and south, Bhandari said that one must be sensitive to the country's problems and needs.
