Kathmandu. The government has moved to close five Nepali diplomatic missions abroad. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clarified that the offices will be fully closed only after ensuring a reliable alternative arrangement for the services provided by those missions. At a regular press conference held at the Ministry on Friday, spokesperson Lok Bahadur Poudel Chhetri informed about the government's latest decision, stating that preparations are underway to close the Nepali embassies in Brazil, Denmark, and South Africa, as well as the Nepali consulates general in San Francisco, USA, and Chengdu, China.
