Nepal Police Arrest Two Fugitives Involved in 'Genji Movement' Incidents
Kathmandu. Nepal Police have arrested two individuals who were absconding during the 'Genji Movement'.A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested two individuals wanted in connection with rape cases and forgery of government seals and documents during the 'Genji Movement' and presented them today.Those arrested are 30-year-old Numesh Waiba from Panchpokhari, Sindhupalchowk, and 41-year-old Navaraj Luitel from Barahapokhari, Khotang. Bureau spokesperson, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shivakumar Shrestha, informed that Waiba was arrested on charges of rape, and Luitel on charges of forging government seals and documents. Woman Found Dead on Mahakali Riverbank in Baitadi, Nepal
Baitadi. A woman has been found dead in Baitadi. The woman was found dead on the bank of the Mahakali River at Dharighat, near Jhulaghat in Dasharathchand Municipality-8 of the district.The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Deepa Mahar, who was originally from India but whose maternal home was in Dasharathchand Municipality-8, Baitadi, informed District Police Office Spokesperson Police Inspector Suraj Singh.Police Inspector Singh stated that Mahar's body, found dead on Thursday morning, has been kept at the District Hospital for post-mortem examination.
