21 arrested in Hong Kong operation over building maintenance corruption
Hong Kong's Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) announced on Friday that 21 people were arrested in a law enforcement operation targeting a building maintenance corruption syndicate.The operation involved two grand renovation projects in Kwun Tong District of Hong Kong. Among those arrested were 15 men and six women, aged between 30 and 81, including middlemen, project consultants, project contractors, and members of incorporated owners. 2 killed, 10 injured in road accident in southern Pakistan
At least two passengers were killed and 10 others injured in a road accident in Pakistan's southern Sindh province, rescue officials said on Saturday.The incident occurred late on Friday near Nooriabad on the M-9 Motorway in Jamshoro district when a passenger coach, traveling from eastern Punjab province to the port city Karachi, collided with a speeding trailer, according to state-run Rescue 1122.Two of the injured succumbed to their wounds while being shifted to a nearby hospital, rescue officials said.
