The World Bank has approved a loan of NPR 7.072 billion (approximately $707 million) to reduce air pollution and improve air quality in Nepal.The World Bank headquarters in Washington D.C. stated that the amount was approved to implement the 'Nepal Clean Air and Prosperity Project' in the Kathmandu Valley and parts of the Terai region, which face high risks of air pollution.Under the project, approximately 400 industrial and commercial enterprises will be made emission-free.The bank's press release issued today stated that the project will be implemented through the Department of Industry under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies,...
