Mahottari. The Ratu River separates Mahottari and Dhanusha districts from the origin of the Chure peak to one kilometer south of the East-West Highway's Ratu bridge. Ponds constructed in the forest areas on both sides of the river along this approximately 28-kilometer stretch are not only from Chure but have become lifelines for settlements further down.
