Election Ballots Arrive in Humla District for Upcoming Federal Parliament Polls

Jumla. The ballot papers required for the upcoming House of Representatives election have arrived in the Himalayan district of Jumla. Assistant Chief Returning Officer of the Chief Returning Officer's Office, Jumla, Harikrishna Timilsena informed that 77,000 ballots for the first-past-the-post system and 80,000 ballots for the proportional representation system arrived today.There are 71,739 registered voters in the district. Assistant Chief Returning Officer Timilsena stated that the Election Commission sent 10 percent more ballot papers than the number of voters.
