Collection of Mahatma Gandhi's Notes Sells for $17 Million in Mumbai

Kathmandu. A collection of notes written by Indian freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi has been sold for $17 million in Mumbai. This is the highest price ever paid for an Indian historical document.Mumbai-based auction company 'Saffron Art' has stated that this collection was preserved by the family of Anand T. Hingorani, a close associate of Gandhi and a freedom fighter.These 688 notes were written by Gandhi to console Hingorani after the death of his wife, Vidya.
