Election Commission Warns of Strict Action Against Educators Involved in Campaigning

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has warned of strict action against teachers, professors, and staff affiliated with educational institutions who are involved in election campaigning and related activities.On Monday, Election Commission Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai mentioned receiving complaints about their participation in the campaigning for any political party or candidate, and warned that strict action would be taken against them according to the law.  The Commission has cautioned teachers and professors against participating in such activities, noting that the election code of conduct and related legal provisions stipulate action that could lead to the loss of their positions.
