Armed Police Force Inspector arrested for bribery in Dhanusha
Kathmandu. An Armed Police Force Inspector has been arrested by an anti-corruption team in Lalgarh, Dhanusha, for allegedly accepting a bribe. The arrested officer has been identified as Inspector Bikil Adhikari. He was apprehended on Friday by a team deployed from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) regional office in Bardibas. An official from the commission confirmed to RatoPati that 40,000 in cash, accepted as a bribe, was recovered from his possession. He is accused of obstructing vehicles used for soil and gravel filling work along the Kamala-Dhalkebar-Bagmati road section and demanding bribes. The commission is currently investigating...
