Madi Municipality in Chitwan Classifies Land into Seven Categories
Madi Municipality in Chitwan has classified the land within its jurisdiction. The Local Land Use Council of Madi Municipality has categorized the land here into 7 parts.The land classification has been done according to the Land Use Act 2076 and the Regulations 2079. According to Jagat Prasad Bhusal, Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, forest covers the largest area here. Out of the total 21,824.44 hectares in the municipality, 12,975.75 hectares are occupied by forests.Similarly, 6,535.07 hectares are arable.
