California Man Charged in Attempted Attack on Trump

A 31-year-old Californian, Cole Thomas Allen, has been charged in a Washington court with attempting to assassinate U.S. President Donald Trump.He was arrested for attempting to breach security and attack during the White House Correspondents Association dinner event last Saturday at the Washington Hilton Hotel.According to prosecutors, Allen attacked a security checkpoint with a semi-automatic handgun, a pump-action shotgun, and three knives.
