Kathmandu. The government has set a target to make Nepal a Tuberculosis (TB) free nation by 2035. However, current statistics show that 44 people still lose their lives daily due to TB in Nepal. More than 190 new TB patients are added every day.The reality that nearly 30,000 of the estimated 70,000 current TB patients are out of reach of health services also cannot be denied, posing a challenge to the elimination of this disease.
