Nepali Congress Spokesperson Devraj Chalise stated that lingering resentment remains within the party between those favoring a special general convention and those favoring a regular general convention. During an interaction in Anamnagar, Kathmandu, on Wednesday, journalists questioned Spokesperson Chalise about why a situation where former and new office bearers could not sit on the same platform had arisen.Responding to the question, Spokesperson Chalise informed that efforts are underway to dispel the lingering resentment that emerged after the special general convention.

The Election Commission has stated that out of 51 complaints received so far by the Central Code of Conduct Monitoring Committee, clarifications have been sought from the concerned political parties and candidates, and responses have been received for 30 of them.The Commission also sought clarification from political parties, candidates, governmental and non-governmental organizations, media outlets, and journalists against whom complaints of violating the election code of conduct were filed.
