Pokhara. A gas dealer in Pokhara has been fined for hoarding gas. The dealer was fined NPR 50,000 for creating an artificial shortage by hiding LPG gas and for transferring gas from cylinders.Assistant Chief District Officer Shiva Lamsal informed that Bhandari Traders, located in Pokhara-6 Jarebar, was penalized after irregularities were found during an inspection conducted by the District Administration Office and other bodies.During the inspection, Bhandari Traders was found to have hidden 48 units of 14.2 kg gas cylinders. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has mandated that retailers must compulsorily maintain detailed records of the gas sold to consumers to further streamline the sale and distribution of LP gas.
