Nationwide Agricultural Survey launched
Kathmandu, Nov 28: The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has launched a nationwide agricultural survey in collaboration with local levels, provincial line ministries, and relevant stakeholders.A one-door system has been established for data collection to avoid duplication, according to Ramkrishna Regmi, Chief of the Ministry’s Statistics Section.The survey will collect data on agricultural production, livestock, costs, marketing, income, irrigation, and infrastructure. Enumerators will meet farmers directly, and the survey will follow a sampling method.In the first phase, 600,000 farmers will be selected, of whom 51,000 will be surveyed in detail to document their experiences, access to government services and...
